How to do it

  1. Hold a PVC pipe at your thighs, feet hip-width, knees softly bent.
  2. Push your hips straight back and slide the pipe down your legs.
  3. Lower until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings, keeping your back flat.
  4. Drive your hips forward to stand tall and squeeze your glutes.

The one cue that matters

Keep the pipe touching your legs the whole way, it teaches the bar to stay close.
