How to do it

  1. Hang from the bar and set a hollow body position.
  2. Swing into an arch, then snap back to hollow to build the kip.
  3. As you swing forward, pull the bar down and drive your toes up to touch it.
  4. Release back through the swing and chain the reps in rhythm.

The one cue that matters

Time the toe drive with the kip swing, do not just yank with your arms.
