How to do it

  1. Cuff an ankle strap to the low pulley and face the stack.
  2. Hold the frame and stand tall on your support leg.
  3. Keep the working leg fairly straight and brace your core.
  4. Drive the leg back behind you, squeezing the glute at the top.
  5. Lower under control without arching, then switch legs.

The one cue that matters

Push through the glute, not the lower back. Keep your hips facing forward.

Muscles worked

The Standing Cable Hip Ext isolates the Glutes — no passengers. That makes it a clean tool for adding targeted glutes volume without extra fatigue.
