Floor leg press, band for the burn.

Control the return, don't let the band snap your knee back fast.
Looping the band around one foot and pressing away from your chest recreates the leg press pattern on the floor, quads straightening the knee with the glutes assisting the hip, one leg working at a time while your hands anchor the resistance. Band tension climbs as the leg extends, so the hardest moment lands near full extension, opposite to how a weight stack feels. It earns its place as leg training that fits in a bag, ideal for home sessions, travel, or easing joints back into work.
For building serious size, no, the band cannot match hundreds of kilos of stack. But for home training, high-rep burnout, warming up the knees, or rebuilding after time off, it covers the same movement pattern surprisingly well.
Choke up on the band to shorten it, double it over, or move to a thicker band. Slowing the return, fighting the band as your knee bends back in, adds difficulty without changing anything else.
Seat the loop across the middle of your shoe, not the toe, and keep your ankle flexed so the foot stays flat against the band. Wear shoes for this one, a band snapping off a socked foot is a lesson you only need once.
