How to do it

  1. Hold a plate against your chest and rise onto the balls of your feet.
  2. Lean back and bend your knees, letting them travel forward as your torso drops.
  3. Lower until your thighs and torso form a near-straight line angled back.
  4. Squeeze your quads to pull yourself back upright.

The one cue that matters

Hold something for balance if needed, keep hips and torso in one line, the stretch should hit the quads, not the knees painfully.

Muscles worked

The Weighted Sissy Squat isolates the Quads — no passengers. That makes it a clean tool for adding targeted quads volume without extra fatigue.
