How to do it

  1. Stand with feet hip-width and place one hand behind your head.
  2. Brace your core and stay tall.
  3. Crunch your elbow down toward your same-side hip as you lift that knee.
  4. Return tall under control, finish your reps, then switch sides.

Squeeze the side you are crunching, do not just bend over at the waist.
