How to do it

  1. Set up in a side plank on your forearm, knees stacked and bent behind you.
  2. Drive your hip up so your body forms a straight diagonal line.
  3. Keeping feet together, lift the top knee open like a clamshell.
  4. Lower the knee with control and finish your reps before switching sides.

The one cue that matters

Keep your hips high the whole set so your obliques stay loaded, not your shoulder.

Muscles worked

The Side Plank Clam Lifts isolates the Core — no passengers. That makes it a clean tool for adding targeted core volume without extra fatigue.
