How to do it

  1. Lie on your side with your forearm on the floor under your shoulder.
  2. Stack your feet and lift your hips into a straight line.
  3. Hold the position with your core braced and hips high.
  4. Breathe steady and hold for time, then switch sides.

The one cue that matters

Push your hips up toward the ceiling, the second they sag the hold is over.

Muscles worked

The Side Bridge isolates the Core — no passengers. That makes it a clean tool for adding targeted core volume without extra fatigue.

How long should I hold it?

Start with sets you can hold with perfect position, even if short. Add a few seconds each session; quality beats clock-watching.
