Pause bench to own the bottom
Momentum hides a weak bottom, so pause each rep on your chest for a full second before pressing. This kills the bounce, forces the pecs to start the bar from a dead stop, and directly strengthens your sticking point.
A weak bottom means weak chest and stalled leg drive; fix it with pause reps, upper-chest work, and tight setup.
Failing right off the chest points to a weak bottom position driven by the pecs, so train that range directly. Add paused bench, pressing from a dead stop for a full second on the chest, and build the pecs with incline pressing and flyes. Tighten your setup with a leg drive, retracted shoulder blades, and a slight arch so you press off a stable base. Also make sure you touch the same spot every rep.

The initial drive off the chest is largely pec-driven, so if your pecs lag, the bottom will too. Add incline barbell or dumbbell pressing and flyes, aiming for 10 to 20 hard chest sets a week with a full stretch at the bottom.
A loose base leaks power off the chest. Plant your feet, drive them into the floor, pinch your shoulder blades together, keep a slight arch, and touch the same point every rep so your groove and leverage stay consistent.
