How to do it

  1. Rack the bar on your front shoulders with feet hip-width.
  2. Dip a few inches by bending the knees, keeping the torso vertical.
  3. Explosively drive up and punch the bar overhead as you press under it.
  4. Lock the elbows overhead, then stand fully tall.

The one cue that matters

Keep the dip shallow and straight down, the leg drive launches the bar, not your arms.
