Another angle to free up those locked-down pecs.

Keep pressure on the muscle not the joint, back off if anything feels sharp.
The pec is a fan-shaped muscle, and one line of pressure rarely covers every fibre, which is exactly why this second angle of attack exists. Sinking your bodyweight in while propped on the free forearm keeps the pressure adjustable from one breath to the next. Rotate it with the standard chest roll so no corner of the muscle gets missed.
Same target, different roller angle, which shifts the line of pressure across the fan of the pec. Use whichever version finds tension on the day, they are complements rather than rivals.
You have drifted off the muscle and toward the joint. Shift the roller in toward the meat of the chest, reduce the lean, and stay where the sensation is a dull muscular ache.
Daily is fine if it feels good, the dose is gentle. What you never do is push through sharp pain, which is a signal to move the roller, not to press harder.
